Aunt Vera , You know how we feel Please take his hand hold it and rub it and hug him give our Uncle Robert a kiss from, us From, Mark (and) Mike His other Boys

I have followed Robert's career throughout it's entirety and saw him in person on Long Island, N.Y. 'the first time was so long ago but I seem to remember that he lectured the audience on the ills of smoking.. The last time was a few years ago at Westbury Music Fair where he appeared with Michael. I so enjoyed his singing and listening to the LP''s many years ago. Today there are newer recordings of the wonderful music of yesteryear. Sometimes I would get so overwhelmed at the beauty of his voice that it would bring tears to my eyes.

He is now in my prayers and I hope he comes through this in good shape and has a healthy recovery.

Best wishes and fervent hope for a much longer, healthier life from a long-time fan.

Hello Vera!

...your old Nellie #2 here from South Pacific...

I've just recently learned that you and Robert are in LA awaiting a lung for Robert...bless your hearts!
Please know that you are both in my prayers - a lung and recovery for Robert and strength for you.

You are one of the most powerful women I have ever known. I'm confident that you can handle ANYTHING, and are facilitating the best possible care and comfort for your dear husband. Robert is a lucky man indeed to have you in his corner, and I have faith that the perfect lung and transplant will present itself.

Many years ago on that 80's So. Pac tour, you gave me the loveliest Ungaro scarf which I wear to this day. With the colors of autumn, it is still a staple in my wardrobe and reminds me of you two on a regular basis.

Would you please tell Robert that I send a warm "howdy" to him...maybe you'll even peck him on the cheek and say it is from one of his biggest fans.

Please know that we are thinking of you here in Spokane, WA where we moved three years ago...We have a newly renovated Fox Theater her that needs his presence!

All the best,
Andrea Petty Bates

For My Dear Uncle Robert I still need you Your like a Father to me that I never had I think about you alot your in my heart forever,

From Nephew Mark
LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH

Dear Mrs G

Thank you for the update on Roberts condition for his fans. I am sure not only I, but all us who have adored his voice and acting through the years are keeping him (and you) in our prayers and thoughts. I have corresponded with you when he came to San Francisco for "South Pacific". You were so very thoughtful and kind. The love you have for your husband shows through in all your messages and letters to his fans. He is a very lucky man to have you there beside him, encouraging him all the way. God Bless all of you,

With Sincere thoughts,

Bev Taliaferro

Dear Mr. Goulet,
I am very sorry to hear about your illness. I have a little friend who
had a lung transplant 2 years ago; I wish you all the best.
Thank you for all the joy and laughs you have given us through the
years.

The Widman Family
Fredericksburg, VA

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. The man with the golden voice will make it, I just know it. God bless you all.

Sincerely,

Effie Joy

When I heard of your illness your song "If Ever I Would Leave You" kept playing in my head, so I fished out the piano sheet music & played it over & over again as I prayed for your lung transplant to happen.

Also about 10 years ago I attended a Mercy Conference in Newport Rhode Island @ Salve Regina College. While attending a coctail party @ the Administration Building facing the Cliff Walk, I noticed a familiar face on a portrait over the fireplace. Later found out it was a relative of yours who probably donated the property to the College. I kicked off my shoes & walked out on the grass like Mia Farrow in the Great Gatsby.

Our dorm room faced a property with a large French Chalet on the Cliff Walk. When my roomate & I prepared for bed she noticed there were no lights on in the house & she said "No one's there, so we'll just leave our shades open."

Next day we took a tour of Newport & the Guide told us that the French Chalet belonged to you. We couldn't stop laughing because we were mooning the Goulet household the whole time we were @ Salve Regina.

I pray that someone will be able to donate the lung you need for transplant. My best to your family & friends who love you.

Pat Raber

Thanks for keeping us in the loop. Don't know how they go about transplants and what happens in what order (who does until you're drawn into that world?) but appreciate any heads up you have time to give us.
Hang in there!

Dear Vera and Bob,
Firstly Vera, I would l ike to introduce myself. I am an old friend of Bob. We met when he was singing Lancelot in the early 60's. I became totally devoted to opera in 1965, and tried from time to time to keep in contact with your husband. I am married to a wonderful guy from South Africa, and have two children. My daughter Simone studies at Tufts University and writes for the Boston Herald. My son Jonathan studies at the University of Miami and made his Broadway debut at age nine in "Beauty and the Beast". Both my kids sang and performed with the Metropolitan Opera for six years.

The last time I spoke with your husband was many years ago when my children were still small. In fact I took them to see Bob sing King Arthur, and brought both kids backstage during the intermission. You were not there at the time, so we have never met.
I remember when you both got married, and I spoke to Bob. He was so very happy, and that made me feel wonderful. You are a blessing to him.

My husband and I have left Brooklyn, and have moved to a little village near Cooperstown, New York. Leonard has built a straw bale house on a beautiful piece of land, where we have the milky way, sunrise, sunset and when we are lucky the Aurora.

My daughter told me about bob yeaterday, and I found the website. Funny, I never thought of trying to contact Bob through the internet. Old way of thinking. Anyway, I am very worried, and have followed the instructions on the website. I called the hospital, and was connected to three different people. I spoke with all of them, and felt a cold brush off. I then mailed a letter expressing my concern. I expressed what a wonderful gentleman Bob is, and how he has been an inspiration to my son along with millions others. I spoke of all the joy and beauty he has brought into the world, and how I was furious about this age disgrimination thing. (Interestingly doctors when ill, always get the best care irregardless of their age) Luciano Pavarotti pased a little while ago, and no one heard anything of the Italian doctors, refusing to give him proper care. Great artists have given their lives to humanity, and deserve humanity themselves. Vera, if there is anything more I can do please email me. The media needs to be aware of what is going on.

Bob dear, It has been too long since we have seen each other, or spoken. I am praying for you, and meditating. In fact since I heard last evening I have not been able to sleep. I had no idea what was going on. I have always felt close to you and even though I have lost touch due to the madness of the modern world. Once and a while, I would hear you sing, or catch a glimpse of you on the television, and smile to myself. You have always been a great guy, and I care. Do you remember the little boy (he was age two at the time) you picked up in your arms, and said you were keeping(during Camelot at the Marriot Marquis Theatre), well Jonathan made his Broadway debut at age 9, and is now in University. He also made the movie "High Roller, The Stu Unger Story" when he was 13. He is now grown up, as is my little girl. Simone is 21, and writes for the Boston Herald. Len and I decided to leave New York, after a wonderful summer in Cooperstown at the Glimmerglass Opera where he played "Trouble" in the Mark Lamos production of "Madama Butterfly". The place seduced me and I became as much as possible a "country girl" (a little like "Green Acres") This is a magnificent place, and when you feel better, perhaps you and Vera will come and recover here.

If there is anything I can do, please let me know.. Perhaps Simone can get the Boston Herald to do a story on the situation???. Bob, take care, be strong, and stay positive.

DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER, I COME TO YOU TODAY, TO FIRST THANK YOU FOR KEEPING YOUR LOVING ARMS OF PROTECTION AROUND MY FAMILY AND LOVED ONES. I AM SOMEONE WHO HAS NEVER MET ROBERT IN PERSON BUT TODAY, I WOULD LIKE TO ADD A SPECIAL PRAYER FOR HIM. FATHER, PLEASE KEEP YOUR LOVING ARMS OF PROTECTION AROUND ROBERT AS HE AWAITS A LUNG TRANSPLANT. ALSO, WATCH OVER HIS FAMILY DURING THEIR TIME OF NEED AND COMFORT THEM. LET THEM KNOW THAT THERE IS NO SORROW THAT HEAVEN CAN NOT HEAL. I ASK THIS IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLLY SPIRIT. AMEN.

Dear Vera,

I have been a fan of your husband’s since I was 13, (I’m now 59) as I proved to him the 2nd time I got to meet him at Wolfe Trap, here in Virginia. The first time he invited me backstage, I met you as well. He was there in South Pacific and I had two letters he had sent me when I was 16 and 18.

Then when he was there for Man of La Mancha, he had fallen and cracked or broken some ribs, so I didn’t get invited backstage, although he did call my home and leave me two messages. I was invited back again when he was there in Camelot and I got to show him my scrap book I’d kept for years, and got my picture taken with him, which was the thrill of a lifetime.

I will keep you both in my prayers as he awaits a lung transplant. I trust God will find a donor so we do not lose this wonderful talent who was so very kind when we met.

Sincerely,
Diana

My prayers are with you and your wife.
I first saw you in Camelot with a group of friends when I was 16. You were one of our idols at the time and we waited to see you and get your autograph outside the stage door after the show. I'm sure I still have that in my collection box!

I had been looking forward to seeing you in Denver, where we live now. And I feel a connection because I'm from Vegas and many of my family still live there, including my dad.
My best wishes for a successful recovery. Then hope to see you on stage again soon.

Robert and Vera,

We met nearly 12 years ago when you visited the Holocaust Museum in Washington. Your generosity, warmth and openness touched me greatly. You are two very special people. Over the years I have continued to follow news about Robert...enjoyed the commercials and terrific reviews. I was sad to read the news today about Robert's fight for his life. My family and I pray for strength for you both and the much needed transplant...so that Robert can continue to be the gift he is to so many people.

Warm regards,

Mari-Ellen Testa

LOVE the Emerald Nuts commercial! Our thoughts are with you! Get well soon.

Dear Mr Goulet,

Just wanted to say hello and to let you know that I am praying for your speedy

recovery. I lift you and your family up to our Father in prayer and know that He is

with you there in the hospital. He will make a way for you.

God Bless, Michael

I know you are fighting for so much at this point of your life, thank you for reading this brief note.

My grandfather WILLIAM E. GOULET....who was raised with Robert in Lawrence, Mass.......for a brief time..........ALWAYS had a twinkle in his eye.EVERY TIME he heard Mr. Robert Goulet's voice on the phone for holidays.......and YOU.....VERA....always attached a note personally to holiday greetings sent to my grandparents, William and Edna Goulet.... (They resided in Voorheesville, NY..this probably would have been the last address you had for them.............) My Grandparents have now both passed away.........(Gram just recently)..... I KNOW FOR A FACT they BOTH would be giving prayers to You, Robert and your family. The times I answered the phone and heard the BOOMING voice on the other end....asking for "WILLIE" ...such STRENGTH in the intonation........I KNOW THE STRENGTH is STILL THERE...........of course I am NOT TELLING you a thing you do not know...........be STRONG, PLEASE GET SOME REST......this critical time will pass and YOU BOTH will be leading your happy and full lives SOON...............

PRAYERS and LOVE to YOU............ROBERT............and your FAMILY at this time..............

Pam Crowder

Dear Vera,
I just heard the news about your husband. Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. I am praying for both of you. Robert has an amazing gift from God. Only God can heal and restore him.

Stay strong, call on the Lord.

Mr. Goulet:

I recall you coming to the Ordway Music Theatre for Camelot in 1994, as
if it were yesterday. I was working security there at the time, and
learned to enjoy your talent as much as my parents had. Although I had
lost track of your son, Michael, he and I would get together whenever
you came to the twin cities.

My wife and I, and our extended families are praying for you, and for
your family.

Dear Vera and Robert-
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I have been through much tragedy and family illnesses in my lifetime. You must keep fighting and always believe! I have adored Robert since I was in high school and he was in Camelot. I have always been a huge fan, although I'm sure not #1 -- there are millions of us. That incredible voice -- no one in the world ever like it. Everytime I turn in to your website I still get chills hearing "If Ever I Would Leave You." I love you, Robert Goulet! You keep fighting and hanging in there. Please don't "ever leave us!"

Love to both of you,

I did not know which e-mail to send this to, but I wanted to send my get well wishes to Robert Goulet. I have not seen him perform but I have seen him work on Weird Al's video You Don't Love Me Anymore and also his appearance on The Simpsons and highly enjoyed them both. I also have heard from all accounts he is a very nice man and the world would hate to lose someone that brings so much joy to so many people, so get well soon, Robert!!
