I still remember the image of Lancelot on stage on Broadway.

"A knight of the table round should be invincible". May you be invincible and regain your health so we can all hear you sing again.

Thank you for the memory and may you create many more!

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Goulet
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this
terribly trying time. I have to Thank You Mr. Goulet
for your amazing talent, and the gift you have given
to the World of music, stage, screen, and
entertainment in general. Personally, I must admit
that your portrayal of Sir Lancelot, in Camelot, was
inspirational. Your song "If Ever I Would Leave You"
was my audition piece (after spending hours listening
to your rendition) for the Sound of America National
Choir, to which I was accepted, and spent a wonderful
month touring Europe. I Thank You Personally For
That. God Bless you and your Family, and remember,
Millions are Praying for Your swift and successful
recovery.... Keep Hitting The High Notes.

Hi Mr. G,
My Name is Vincent Ortaglia. We had met on 2 occasions in Las Vegas when I lived there.
Once when you played at the Venitian Hotel (Great Show). I came to the "Meet and Greet". You took a picture with my girl friend for me and we spoke about cats. You made me laugh when telling me the cat's hairs go up your nose.

The other time we met was at the Frank Sinatra Celebrity Golf Classic at the Black Stallion Club. We talked about when I was Lad I had seen you in NYC in the Camelot Play.
You said I looked too young for that. I said "thats because I'M plump like a turkey, It hides my wrinkles."

And we spoke once on the phone when I was trying to win a Valentines Prize at a hotel, I think it was Imperial Palace or Flamingo. Some lady beat me out and won. But I made you laugh when I said "I only have a shower in my house and I realy need to take a bath."

Then the last time I saw you was in Naples Florida with Shirley Jones in the Christmas show. Magnificent!!!!

I have live here since 2003. My Mom who loves you too wanted to move here ( Ft Myers Florida).
So you being in Naples made us have a wonderful Christmas.

I miss you very much.
I wish I could be where you are now in your time of need.
I ask God to bless you , your dear wife and your family with all his blessings.

I hope I see you again. Love, you friend,
Vincent Ortaglia.

Please get well soon. So many of your loved fans will be praying for you. We all want to hear your voice again. I have an 8 x 10 picture of you on my bedroom wall given to me a couple of Christmas' ago from my family and can see you whenever I'm on my computer. Best wishes for a full recovery, you're in everyone's thoughts. Gloria Sushko, Port Charlotte, Florida

Dear Vera,

So sorry to hear of your husband's condition...I've been a fan for many years. I will keep you both in my prayers, and hope for a suitable donor as quickly as possible...

In the mean time, get your rest, and take care of YOU, so you can, in turn, be the caregiver. You obviously have a wonderful love affair...Keep the faith.

Best wishes always,

Shannon in Montana

Mr. Goulet,
I've been where you are. I had ideopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). In July of 2005, I received the gift of life with a new right lung. I pray that you will get your turn.

Dear Robert and Vera,

Every ounce of strength I have is devoted to thoughts and prayers for you in this difficult, if not impossible time. I pray that Robert receives the transplant in time to save his life and that beautiful voice that he has blessed us with all these years.

Vera - you've got some kind of class re: your response to Ms. Thompson. You looked beyond the anger and saw her need.

Bless you and your family.

I just wanted to say you are in my thoughts and prayers...He is a wonderful entertainer and singer. I am from St. Louis, Mo and saw him years ago with my family at the Muny. He was awsome and always will be. I have lit a special candle for him and asked for a special mass for him and the family...

May God Bless you all..

Dear Mr. Goulet and family,

The prayers of my wife and I are with you, as you face this serious medical
challenge. As a retired pro. trumpet player, I can empathize with you
during this illness. Having faced some serious lung problems myself in the
past, I am, at least somewhat, aware of your pain and frustration.

You have blessed so many of us through the years, and, with God's help and
healing, will continue to do so for many years to come.

Best Regards from a praying fan -

Dear Mr. Goulet,

Each day when I awake and before I go to bed at night, I hold a thought of you as a healthy, strong man who continues to share his talents and bring so much joy to so many -- and of course, this joy is doubled because your loving wife Vera is with you in every way, at every moment! Together and individually, you exemplify love -- you bless everyone with whom you come into contact. This kind of love abolishes fear. That is how I see you.

Mary

Mr. Goulet: I read about your illness and I just wanted to send you a note letting you know that your fans love you and are praying for you and will never leave you.

Dear Robert and Vera: My Prayers and fond memories are with you, sincerely hoping and praying you will get through everything fine. Pray you get good donor soon. Mr. Goulet, you have the most dynamic, golden and beautiful pop voice of all contemporary times, and have always upheld the most clean cut, charming image. I remember you on television back in the sixties when I was in MYF at church gatherings.

I'm sure all of America and much of the world join me now in expressing the best wishes ever for you as you have warmed the hearts of us all, young and old, gals and guys.

GET WELL SOON AND SING THAT GOLDEN VOICE TO US AGAIN !!!!!

Dear Robert,

Just caught the news of your dilemma. My God dear friend, how did those scars ever come to this?
Am praying for you and Vera for strength and comfort at this delicate time.

Here's to acquiring that new lung and renewed breath support for that glorious voice!

Love, John Visser

May your French-Canadian roots help you fight off this thing (my mom was
also a F-C born in Lawrence in 1908)
GOD BLESS

Terry

Robert & Vera,

I just saw Robert not too long ago on PBS and he was singing "To Dream the Impossible Dream" From Man of La Mancha! Now Robert you have been given a
new quest and star to follow that will make your DREAM COME TRUE!

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Goulet,

I am a 38 year old father waiting for a double lung transplant through the Cleveland Clinic with a pulminary disease of my own. Although I'm still waiting ( over a year ) for my transplant, I've heard of people who had the surgery in days or weeks after being placed on the list. Be strong, have faith, and know there are a lot of us in this situation that pray he could be singing again soon. When the time comes when I get a donor I hope to be singing and dancing with my wife and children with the same time frame Mr. Goulet can regain his health and strength and continue his dreams. My family will pray for yours tonight and through out.

Christopher May

I was under the impression that Mr. Goulet at one time held the world record for holding his breath underwater. However, I don't find this accomplishment anywhere in any Bio on him?
Is there any reason for this?

Thank you.
Roy Chancellor.

PS. we all wish him well.....

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Goulet,

My heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery are with you both. I feel so sorry that Robert is going through this terrible time. And, also, for you, Vera. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

My fondest memories as a child I owe to Robert Goulet’s “This Christmas I Spend With You” album that I cherished for many years, and have since misplaced. I cannot find the CD anywhere!

Anyway, please know I am hoping and praying for a speedy recovery for you, Mr. Goulet.

Fondly,

Kathryn W. Jones

One of the nicest and most fun couples I've ever met. My parents were holding an engagement dinner for us in '92 or '93 at a very nice restaurant in Dallas. You probably won't remember us, but you might remember my mother, who told you she was furious because she was pregnant and went into labour and missed the Toronto Camelot performance my parents had been waiting for!

Robert was so kind and such a gentleman - he and Vera chatted away with us through the better part of dinner (you were seated next to us) and in addition to loving your work I came away feeling as if I'd met a wonderfuly funny and seriously unpretentious man.

Vera was the consummate lady as everyone else downed the drinks :)

My marriage didn't last but a year - I'm just now remarried and very happy living in the mountains of Idaho. But I will always remember that wonderful dinner and the impromptu fun we had, and what a moment that dinner became for my mother - one of your biggest fans then - now of course you have us all.

We are praying for you. Your name came up at the News Station I work for in Boise just three days ago - how strange to hear you are ill. Vera, hang in there - my father, at the dinner I speak of, of course, died of a serious illness in 2000 - I know he'd pass along his best wishes to you all too .

Dear Vera,

I have been a fan of your husband’s since I was 13, (I’m now 59) as I proved to him the 2nd time I got to meet him at Wolfe Trap, here in Virginia. The first time he invited me backstage, I met you as well. He was there in South Pacific and I had two letters he had sent me when I was 16 and 18.

Then when he was there for Man of La Mancha, he had fallen and cracked or broken some ribs, so I didn’t get invited backstage, although he did call my home and leave me two messages. I was invited back again when he was there in Camelot and I got to show him my scrap book I’d kept for years, and got my picture taken with him, which was the thrill of a lifetime.

I will keep you both in my prayers as he awaits a lung transplant. I trust God will find a donor so we do not lose this wonderful talent who was so very kind when we met.

Sincerely, Diana

DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER, I COME TO YOU TODAY, TO FIRST THANK YOU FOR KEEPING YOUR LOVING ARMS OF PROTECTION AROUND MY FAMILY AND LOVED ONES. I AM SOMEONE WHO HAS NEVER MET ROBERT IN PERSON BUT TODAY, I WOULD LIKE TO ADD A SPECIAL PRAYER FOR HIM. FATHER, PLEASE KEEP YOUR LOVING ARMS OF PROTECTION AROUND ROBERT AS HE AWAITS A LUNG TRANSPLANT. ALSO, WATCH OVER HIS FAMILY DURING THEIR TIME OF NEED AND COMFORT THEM. LET THEM KNOW THAT THERE IS NO SORROW THAT HEAVEN CAN NOT HEAL. I ASK THIS IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLLY SPIRIT. AMEN.

Raymond Burns

I heard the news of your illness today on Howard Stern's show. I sincerely wish you the best.
